Asioso appeared at the second edition of the Sarajevo Unlimited 2017 Festival of Ideas and Innovation at the beginning of November with the RECOGATE portal, which was voted one of the  Top 50 startup ideas in the region.

"We had the privilege of participating in Sarajevo Unlimited 2017, which hosted the elite of the scene of entrepreneurship, ideas and innovation for three days," said our employees Sasa Matijas and Nebojsa Ljubicic.

This year's Sarajevo Unlimited gathered participants from more than 20 countries and 3,000 visitors.

As one of the TOP 50 Most Innovative Start-Ups, recogate attracted a lot of interest from the visitors, especially because of the upcoming roll-out in the Balkan region.

Three full days with a full program and at five locations, numerous inspiring and successful examples of the regional start-up culture, great investor interest, great speakers, commitment and interest of domestic institutions and companies were a positive sign that Sarajevo Unlimited initiated important changes in the region last year. The opening ceremony in the city hall was held in front of more than two hundred guests and from a specially designed Unlimited stage. The Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konakovic welcomed the visitors and stressed that such events influence the awareness of those who create political and social processes in the country and position the IT industry in the right place.

The United Nations Resident Coordinator, SEZIN Sinanoglu, the UNDP representative, and the Swiss Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Andrea Rauber Saxer, emphasized the importance of this event and recalled that this industry supports the economic development of the country.

The organizers of this innovation fair presented the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaki, with the "Viber Stickers of Sarajevo" created by a team of young designers.

Eight panels, six key note speakers, eight workshops on the topic "Skills of Tomorrow" are just some of the significant results of the three-day innovation forum. A B2B event was held, bringing together 90 companies. Six innovative ideas were presented as a result of the project "Strengthening the role of local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina", which is supported by the governments of Switzerland and Sweden and implemented by UNDP. The innovation fair in Sarajevo brought together 80 start-ups, and was also attended by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdic.

"Without adequate education, without real knowledge and experience, without the scientific-research element, without innovation, we cannot talk about a knowledge society, we cannot talk about an advanced society, and we cannot discuss economic development. These young people deserve support. As far as the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina is concerned, I will do everything I can to continue to support such demonstrations and to create an environment that will enable them to turn their ideas into realistic, concrete projects. "

The three-day innovation forum was concluded with ovations from the participants and with the promise and announcement that the third edition in Sarajevo will be a new opportunity for talent and innovative projects to meet with partners and investors.

The support for this year's Sarajevo Unlimited was provided by partners from eight countries of the region and official partners of the Forum including the Swiss government with the projects YEP.

We are happy that we made it into the TOP50 right away. This gives us further confidence to be on the right track.
