Kanban is, like Scrum, a project method in software development.
Today Kanban is also an agile method in change management. Kanban takes an existing process and divides it into smallest components. Thus a process can be changed step by step instead of in its entirety - this is also called evolutionary change. Thus a risk minimization is achieved - employees or customers can get used to the process changes in partial steps - this is also called soft changes and resistance minimization.
